Reviews
The tour was excellent with plenty of information and history. The beer tasting was also great, with non-alcohol options for children and drivers. We also received a lesson on how to pour beer for the maximum flavour.
Shuttle bus available short walk from the station. Bus timetables below .the free tour can’t really speak English but you get 2 tasting beers in the end .
You can have 2 glasses of fresh beer after tour. Tour is free but need reservation in advance. Impressive facility.
Wow. I was informed by Google local guide that I had achieved 100,000 views for my Japan tour photos. I hope you will enjoy your Japan tour just like I did at 80th birthday. I enjoyed it and loved all things Japanese, especially its cultural behaviour .
During my 5 weeks tour and visits to Nagano, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, Osaka, Tokyo, Shinjuku and Ginza, I drank the best beer in Japan - Sapporo beer for lunch and dinner. Also, drank lots of Yamazaki whiskey Highball , too. Since returning from Japan in January, the family had purchased and drank Sapporo beer and Yamazaki whiskey during our weekend BBQ in our Sunshine Coast home. We loved the fullness of the Sapporo and its fantastic taste. The Yamazaki whiskey with soda water tasted fantastic, too. Do try them . You will love to drink them, too. In fact, so far, we purchased eight cases of Sapporo beer from Dan Murphy last week.
It's a brewery...what's not to love? And a tasting room. Enough English that it's easy to follow along. Best part was getting the server to give me a small glass of classic and black side by side. Once they understood, we all enjoyed the challenge. Black won!
Excellent tour
In Japanese only but they do give you an English PowerPoint that’s printed out with the information the guide gives
Also 2 free beers at the end by the gift shop
The tour itself is around 40 minutes and starts with a bus that takes you from the reception restaurant to the start point of the actual factory. Then you enter the a hallway where they talk about the the beer making process with hops and yeast etc. Finally you get to see some of the shop floor and machinery processes (no pictures allowed). All very interesting but two cons are that our tour guides don't speak much English (she did try to interact with us, which was pretty cute) but the displays could use some updated interactivity to show the process flow.
All in all the best part was the beer tasting at the end where you get two drinks for free! And then you find yourself back at the factory where you can enjoy BBQ ghenghis khan (lamb) while a bit tipsy :)
You can tour the brewery and distribution center, but they would prefer it if guests would refrain from being white.
